Project Management Consortium (PMC) Portal came out of the need to provide a credible management mechanism to fill the gap created by the mismanagement and poor implementation of public, private, and internationally-funded infrastructure development projects in Sierra Leone.
PMC evolved through a successfully projects and initiatives on the ground by current team members with professional experiences in construction, Sanitation and Information Technology project management and related fields. Being professionals in the Diaspora, giving back to our country by applying refined skills and technology to problematic issues relating to development is a priority. Through partnerships,of organizations and indivisiudals, it is possible to deliver effective, efficient, transparent and culturally acceptable solutions.
The “brain drain” affecting countries like Sierra Leone is not the result of lack of knowledge but the lack of appropriate use of knowledge. The appeal for the youthful generation of today is to engage in productive agendas with regards to development.
This portal is currently used to house project management activities for initiatives involving the Sierra Leone Portal infrastructure. Inaddition information about initiatives in the Diaspora that are characteristcally project managment oriented is captured in this portal.
